NEWSFLASH NEWSFLASH ! ! !
Google
Web Directory rates pldt.com as one of Top
Fifty Satire Web Sites among the 1,060,000,000 web pages
on their giant search engine. Cool.
Beware
of our friend, all ye who seek us harm.
Back to Court for the embattled website
ww.pldt.com
It should be a welcome relief after
quite a while. Jak Bausa, who is no longer registering domain names for
the Monopoly, goes back on the stand.

Double speak, Sotto Voce, Forked
Tongue?
"Contrary to his claim, the senator's
intention in mentioning the case of pldt.com is merely to cite that a
case involving the issue of cybersquatting do exist in the Phils.
We are not saying that pldt.com case is a cybersquatting case , but a
case that "RELATES" to the issue of cybersquatting, only to
prove that a case of such nature does exist in the country".
- posted on a discussion board supposedly by Office of Senator Sotto
( a certain Jojo ) in reply to a letter complaint from www.pldt.com
legal regarding Sotto's making pldt.com an example of a cybersquatting
case.

The Buck Stopped at Patikul.
With thanks to millions of dollars from
Giddy Gaddafy, Old Pal of Imelda Marcos, the ASG is now trying to
recruit hundreds of Filipinos in Sabah. They can pay in US dollars
and have cool guns to boot. It's any mercenary's dream come
true. Great going by the Showbiz Government!!! Maybe next time,
Mr. Siazon, Foreign Minister kuno, you can just have mystical Moumar K.,
Old Pal of Imelda Marcos, ship Stinger missiles directly to the port of
Jolo as ransom payment for the remaining foreigners. It stuns me
no end how much Siazon loves to put down the Filipino, as in the case of
the Embassy bomb blast in Indonesia, when this government subjected its
own citizens to scrutiny by another government.
To whoever allowed those dollars in, we sure hope your commissions are
well worth the trouble the country will soon go through! On our end,
there is a tremendous value to every Filipino's life. It is a sad and
sick fact that you in power would rather dance to the tune of the
outsider, in this case, the white man, than defend your own
countryman. I hope the money was well worth it, if you got any. If
not, then you are sicker than we think.
Quote of the month from Komander Robot on TV, waving a gleaming new
Assault Rifle at the camera- "Heto
Erap, hindi pelikula ito" (Come, Erap, this is no movie). fade to
black.....
TEKA, TEKA, TEKA !!
How can this government succeed
against the nouveau riche Abu Sayyaf Group in Jolo if it cannot pin down
the old rich, such as rich old Imelda.

SPECIAL HOSTAGE EDITION.
Q : What do you call an Afro-American 'strolling' around the
Abu Sayyaf lair, bringing his US passport, being inquisitive, and
thereafter made a hostage?
pldt.com : An excuse.
Erap, Siazon to head Ninoy Aquino Airport
welcoming committee. On the heels of the reported
kidnapping of an American "tourist" (wink, wink) in Jolo,
Erapus immediately called the Cabinet Cluster E to a special emergency
meeting to discuss the welcoming rites for the soon due American
official guests. Erap informed the Cabinet that he was expecting
Arnold, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis to come and rescue the
American hostage because "Show Biz is what it's all about."

PLDT PLACES PUBLIC PAY PHONES IN
PRIVATE HOMES W/ NTC APPROVAL
Good news: Finally, PLDT to
place more phones in Filipino homes.
Bad news: They are akin to public pay phones, but without coin slots.
Worst news: the government regulatory body approved this plan without
batting an eyelash.
Endorsement: Submit NTC "brains" to Abu Sayyaf for
neuro-psychiatric evaluation.

Remember metering? The very issue PLDT CEO Manuel Pangilinan
only last week claimed would be harsh on the economy and maybe
unpopular? The newspapers reported the PLDT Chairman announcing
(wink, wink) that their Local Measured Service Scheme was to be shelved
for the moment. Of course, the NTC Provisional Authority that
allows PLDT to meter was never revoked. Neither by the Senate
or the NTC for God knows how many reasons. All this, even after
Commissioner Simeon Kintanar who approved PLDT's request is now a
Congressman and born again Anti-Metering advocate. It is so
weird that this announcement came right before PLDT now imposes a new
type of metered program. Behold, the LMS re-engineered as (ta-dah!)
PLDT's Tele-TUPID program.
How Smart can you get? Metering, as per Mr. Pangilinan, may
be difficult for the economy at this time.
But he will bring a phone to your house and charge you more than
the original amount they had in mind for metered service, which was
PhP.40/min.. The new "scheme" charges P.50 per
minute. Hello, NTC. Is not a land line that is being
tolled considered metered phone? You
really think Pinoys are Tele-Tupid, don't you? Well, come to think
of it, maybe they are, but that still doesn't make it right. Oh
well, this should put to rest any ideas lower to middle class families
may have had of improving their quality life via affordable
telecommunications. Buy a cell phone instead. At least the wire
isn't as long. The least the NTC should do is make this an OPTION for
the consumer. Let them decide for once in their lives if they want to
get a metered line or not.
