Pangilinan';s policy of total war against any/all forms of competition included using the infamous and dreaded Estrada police unit, the PAOCTF, to arrest and detain their perceived enemies. Of course, this should not be held against Pangilinan who is only doing business the Indonesian style. Why Indonesian style? Call your stockbroker and find out who really owns the country's telephone monopoly. Or read a foreign paper. Local media, which may seem beholden to PLDT, won't tell you.

On Jan 17, 2001, the Pinoy Times exposed the alleged contents of the second envelope. The biggest bomb? That Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company President Chairman and CEO Metro Pacific Hong Kong and reported representative of Indonesian crony Salim Manuel V. Pangilinan's name appears on it as a drawer from the infamous Jose Velarde account.

That icky creepy sleazeball/scumbag Tatad character, man with less backbone than a jellyfish successfully did what we asked him not to do. He drew first blood and put to shame the entire Philippine Senate. A shining example of what the Opus Dei is all about? Say it isn't so.

Mike Velarde now claiming to be the reason behind Erap departure as President. We remind him that Erap chose Jose "Velarde" for more reasons than spiritual, and ask the new govt. to look into a certain deal which involved some property the govt. had to buy to make room for a new highway. So there, stripe-suited yap mouth.
